Final Exams
The Kenosha Unified School District No. 1 has a final examination policy
for all students. Every student at Bradford High School is required
to take final exams. Final exams are given at the end of each grading
period.
Final exams are an important part of the learning process. Students
should take their final exams seriously and should consult with their teachers
when needing assistance with preparing/studying for these exams.
Final Exam Criteria
- Final
exams will be given in all classes.
- The
final examination will be comprehensive semester exams. Exams
will include both subjective and objective questions such as essay
and/or problem solving.
- All
final examinations will be weighted 20% of the total course grade.
- An
examination schedule will be published and followed for each semester.
- All
students will be expected to take final examinations at the scheduled
times unless the student has an excused absence. NOTE: This
includes students who have prearranged absences as well as students
who would have an unexcused absence. Students must initiate arrangement
for taking the exam with the teacher when absent.
- Failure
of a student to write a final exam, unless excused by the principal,
will result in a failure of the course. NOTE: Students who
missed the test because of an unexcused absence will be given an Incomplete
grade until the final exam is taken.
- Seniors
may or may not graduate depending on their performance on the final
exam. A
two-week notice is sent to students not graduating as well as those
who may not graduate depending on the student's performance on the
final exam.
