Senior Brittany Reindl and Billy Sangbusch were nominated as top athletes for this issue of The Rowdy Report: Web Edition.
Rowdy Report: What got you into the sport?
Brittany Reindl: I started playing because my mom went to state in high school, so I thought it would be fun.
Billy Sangbusch: I started playing football because my dad played in high school and so did my grandpa. It’s like a William Henry Sangbusch tradition.
RR: What are your goals for this season?
BR: Our goals are to have a better conference record then last year and to progress farther into regionals and possibly win state.
BS: Our team goal is to win state.
RR: Do you plan on doing the sport in college?
BR: Yes, possibly at a D-2 college in Minnesota.
BS: Yes, at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
RR: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
BR: I always have Amanda Beggi braid my hair.
BS: At the end of the National Anthem, I look over at my dad in the stands and give him a head nod.
RR: What are your accomplishments so far?
BR: I’m a 4 year letter winner on varsity, honorable mention all- county and all conference my junior year, and 2nd most aces (192) in a career at Bradford.
RR: What is the hardest part about being a student athlete at Bradford?
BR: The hardest part is trying to balance school, work, and volleyball at the same time.
BS: The hardest thing is keeping on top of things between football and school work.
RR: When you graduate, what will you miss the most about Bradford?
BR: I’m going to miss old friends and some of the teachers.
BS: I’ll miss the football team, my friends, Alex Strangberg, Abbi Steinberg, and everything else about Bradford.
RR: How long have you been playing the sport?
BR: I’ve been playing since 6th grade.
BS: I’ve been playing since 5th grade.
RR: Who is your role model?
BR: My mom and one of the coaches from my club team.
BS: Greg Jennings from the Green Bay Packers
RR: What do you like the most about your sport?
BR: I like the constant movement and the high energy. It’s just a fun sport.
BS: It’s physical and nasty.
