Applicants must:

Be African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific American or Hispanic Americans:

Be citizens/permanent residents of the United States;

Have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale;

Will be enrolling for the first time at a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student

Meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria - Eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant can only be determined through the submission of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the US Department of Education, Federal Student Aid Program. Contact the financial aid office of the college you plan to attend for questions

Have demonstrated leadership commitment through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities that reflect leadership abilities.

January 11, 2010 received on-line or postmarked

COMPLETE APPLICATION IN IT'S ENTIRETY AND RETURN TO YOUR COUNSELOR SO THAT THE NOMINATION PORTION CAN BE COMPLETED.
